Have you ever noticed that people that think you can lose (((true))) salvation, never lose it themselves?

All those crying against OSAS are correct in how the majority of “professing” Christians just say a lil prayer and live like the devil. Easy believism. UNCONDITIONAL eternal security. (((There are MANY conditions))). The Bible says many are called, but FEW are chosen. Many will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. Few there be that find it. (eternal life)…. But what they usually fail to do is give the flip side of the coin so to speak. I rarely see people explaining this properly. They go against so much scripture and they conveniently ignore verses that CLEARLY show God keeps his true saints. They don’t “LOSE” their salvation.

𝐑𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟏𝟎:𝟐-𝟑 𝐊𝐉𝐕 – 2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. 3 For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to 𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐞𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟔:𝟏𝟒 𝐊𝐉𝐕 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.

It’s also interesting to note that those who think 𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐔𝐈𝐍𝐄 salvation can be lost, should find reference to this when the LORD returns and judge’s souls – He should be seen somewhere as saying “Depart from Me, for I once knew you, but no longer” – it’s not anywhere to be found though is it? Rather He says, “𝙄 𝙉𝙀𝙑𝙀𝙍 𝙆𝙉𝙀𝙒 𝙔𝙊𝙐.”

Matthew 7:21-23 KJV – 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, 𝙄 𝙉𝙀𝙑𝙀𝙍 𝙆𝙉𝙀𝙒 𝙔𝙊𝙐: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
I just heard a street preacher say, “You can’t depart from something you were never in.”….He should read Matthew 7:23

Paul said teaching about salvation is teaching about marriage. And teaching about marriage should be teaching about salvation.
We teach that as soon as you give your vows in marriage, you are one flesh until death.
But then we turn around and say you can be saved and lose your salvation over and over throughout your life and you just better hope you’re still saved at the moment of your death.
Jesus said you are one, made one flesh with your spouse and can never again be two. Paul literally used that exact analogy and said it applied to salvation also. But we are supposed to believe human vows make an unbreakable one-flesh union, but salvation and becoming one with Christ is completely fungible? ~~Shared

In our world today, we have this fallacy that, “We’ll if you mess up so much, then there are reasons that marriage is not a marriage anymore.” Two become one and then become two again if you mess up too much. But then think about salvation. If you mess up so much, you’ll lose your salvation. It’s the same fallacy as the marriage. The two become one and they cannot be twain (two) again because God made the union, not man. ~~Shared

I don’t know who this is for, but GOD has not handed you your dismissal notice yet… You’ve been in sin and your heart has been far from God. You may be thinking God hates you now and no longer wants to use you, but He is saying if you repent, He will make you His mouthpiece again. He hasn’t chosen another to replace you. You’re the man or woman for the job. He’s chosen you like He chose Jonah and He will pull out all the stops to get you back. Jonah tried to disobey God and go his own way, but when he repented God still had a job for him. You’ve still got a job bro / sis. Return to God now and resume your employment. Romans 8: Can You Lose Your Salvation?
𝐇𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐰𝐬 𝟏𝟎:𝟐𝟔-𝟑𝟎 𝐊𝐉𝐕
26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
28 He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
“His people” (verse 30) – Israel the nation is the subject here, not Christians. If we do not take note of who wrote the Epistle, to whom it was written, and for what purpose, then we are sure to believe and accept gross heresies!
So many believe that this passage is speaking of Christians who have gone back into the world, but this is not the case. What God does, He does well. He saves, He sanctifies, He keeps, (see who Jude was addressing in Jude 1) and only these will He bring to Glory as “the sons of God.”
Some of these Hebrews to whom the writer was addressing were going back to Judaism. They had been enlightened by the gospel and had probably even seen the miracles that had been performed, but they were never born again of the Spirit of God, and they were turning back to their old dead ritualistic religion.
They were told that there was no other sacrifice for sins. Jesus Christ had become the ultimate Sacrifice, once and for all, but they preferred to go back to their old animal sacrifices and all their keeping of their customs and laws. It was nothing but a slap in the face of God, as it is also today with this cult (Jewish Roots and all its evil offspring) who are going back to trying to keep the law and all the feasts etc. and trying to earn their own way to heaven.
These too will be judged for rejecting the sacrifice for sins once and for all at Calvary in the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. They too have “done despite the spirit of grace.”
A very spiritually dangerous place to be because Hebrews 6:4-6 tells us of those who go back to living under “the law of sin and death.”

Those who do not believe the promise of God of eternal life, and yet claim to be Christians, then by necessity, they believe that they are saved both by their “faith” plus their works. They obviously need their own works to keep them “saved.” This is a heresy and the very thing that Paul condemned the Galatians for.
These people are showing that they have never experienced the salvation of God at all, for if they had, they would understand, or they would possess spiritual discernment which only God can give in salvation, and believe the promise that when God places believers “in Christ” He gives them everlasting life. To deny this fact is to call God a liar. Here are a few of a multitude of verses these unbelievers fail to understand; the first of which Christ Himself promised true believers.
“And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. I and my Father are one.”
(John 10:28-30)
Also John stated the same thing.
“These things have I written unto you that BELIEVE on the name of the Son of God; that ye may KNOW that ye have ETERNAL LIFE, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. (1 John 5:13)
Paul also stated this fact;
“For the wages of sin is death; but the GIFT of God is ETERNAL LIFE through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)
“He that believeth on the Son hath EVERLASTING LIFE: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.” (John 3:36)
How many more verses do we need? One should be enough to know that God promises believers everlasting life. Unbelief in God’s promises does not change God’s plan for believers, but it does place those who refuse to accept God’s plan of salvation, which means salvation from the power of their sins as well as salvation from the penalty of their sins, in a very perilous position.
“Without faith it is impossible to please God” we read in Hebrews 11:6. The promise of everlasting life is something very basic concerning God’s gift in salvation. These rejectors do not understand what the salvation of God really means. They cannot rightly divide the Word of Truth either, because they use OT verses to support a NT doctrine.
Those who refuse to believe in this truth of everlasting life, claim that it gives Christians a license to sin. They clearly do not understand the cross and what Christ has accomplished in those who genuinely repent and believe the gospel (Acts 20:21). They presume that those who believe in eternal security intend to accept salvation, and then continue to live in sin. It just doesn’t work like that!
The reason why this is so inaccurate, is because all who are saved by grace through faith, which is a repentant, saving faith, are made new creatures, and placed “in Christ” (2 Corinthians 5:17). They have known the reality of the conviction of sin by the Holy Spirit (John 14:26; 1 Thessalonians 4:8), and they have turned from their sins to Christ, (which begins in the heart) and henceforth they only want to live for Christ, who died in their place and bore away the penalty of their sins on that old rugged Roman cross on Calvary. They love Christ because He first loved them (1 John 4:19).
Their masters have changed, because they then possess the Spirit of God which is the Spirit of truth, who changes their desires, their feelings and their attitude towards sin and towards God. They know of a truth the resurrection power in their lives which was not there before; the same power that raised up Christ from among the dead (Phil. 3:10). We could never perform this miracle of the new birth (Jn. 3:3), ourselves. Until that time, we are still “in the flesh”, ruled by the carnal nature (Romans 7:14-25).
For those born again of the Spirit; they know and experience this reality as Paul wrote to the church at Philippi.
“For it is God which worketh in you BOTH to will and to do of his good pleasure.” (Phil. 2:13)
Someone who continues to willingly and blatantly live in sin, or who genuinely tries not to sin but continually fails, they have not experienced the convicting power of the Holy Spirit and repented to salvation (2 Cor. 7:10; 1 John 2:19; 1 John 3:6; James 1:26). While this false heretical belief may be held by some who have clearly never experienced the new spiritual birth, it is not a part of the teachings of any genuine Christian assembly.
A person who feels their deep and dire need of a Saviour, because they know they have fallen short of the glory of God, and humbly repent of their sins and look by faith away to Calvary, they will be saved (Acts 16:31; John 6:37; John 14:6). That salvation is once and for all, eternal, and secure. Those who trust in Christ are saved once, and always saved. They cannot be unborn, once they are truly born again of the Spirit of God. They are sealed unto the day of redemption.
Do not believe the unbelievers who reject God’s many promises of everlasting life to believers. They are heretics and must be rejected after “one or two admonitions” as God commands. This is because they do not have “ears to hear” and they are not interested in the truth. They insist on trying to work their way to salvation.
How clear is this verse? Surely nothing could be clearer? That is unless there is a gross spiritually blindness.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever BELIEVETH IN HIM should not perish, but have EVERLASTING LIFE.” (John 3:16)
Every single passage of Scripture they copy and paste in order to try to disprove God’s promise of eternal life, they misuse, or they wrest. They do not have a clue about what they mean. God does not contradict Himself. The misunderstanding is with them. Then they attack, verbally abuse and vilify those who try to help them see the truth. The spirit in them is very clear to see. They are “false accusers of the brethren.” But as Paul said concerning the coppersmith who did him much harm, “The Lord reward him.”
Peter warns of these unbelievers who do not have the necessary discernment to understand aright the Scriptures, so they copy and paste other heretics human philosophy and human intellect and they wrest the Scriptures to their own destruction. They actually turn God’s Holy Word in lies, but they cannot see it as their spiritual understanding has never been opened up through circumcision of the ears and heart, which occurs in salvation, by the Holy Spirit, tragically.
“As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.” (2 Peter 3:16)
So what is the promise of God regarding salvation from sin and sins penalty?
“And this is the record, that God hath given to us ETERNAL LIFE, and this life is in his Son.” (1 John 5:11)
Eternal life dwells in every genuine believer right from the very moment of exercising true saving faith in Jesus Christ and His atoning and sacrificial death on their behalf on the cross of Calvary.
Are you “in Christ” or out of Christ, without a Saviour? There is no promise of eternal life for those out of Christ. Those who are saved know of a surety that eternal life is the gift of God and it is their present and full possession.

DO YOU 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐊 YOU HAVE ETERNAL LIFE
OR
DO YOU 𝐊𝐍𝐎𝐖 YOU HAVE ETERNAL LIFE?
“Search the scriptures; for in them ye 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐊 ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.” (John 5:39)
Christ immediately explained His meaning by the following verse to these self righteous, unbelieving Jews (v 40),
“And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.”
The fact that the Pharisees were knowledgeable in the Scriptures did not necessarily mean they were willing to repent and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.
Jesus Christ was talking to the religious leaders in Israel. They read and studied the Scriptures and tried to keep the law, but Christ said in effect to them, that they search the Scriptures, thinking that in them they have eternal life.
What Christ is telling these Jews, is that they are taking it for granted that they were going to have eternal life by becoming familiar with the Scriptures, but unless they placed full trust in the One of whom the Scriptures speak, then there will be no eternal life for them.
We read in 2 Timothy 3:15, when speaking to Timothy, who had been brought up on the Word of God, the apostle Paul said, “From a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.”
Notice that it is not simply familiarity with the Bible that will give us eternal life. We may know it inside out and back to front, but It is only by becoming acquainted with the One who Scripture points to, that we are given eternal life.
“These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may KNOW that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” (1 John 5:13)
It is not just a matter of thinking we have eternal life, but rather we must know we possess eternal life. We must come to “know him” by faith, and therefore know the power of the resurrection life, through the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ on our behalf, on the cross of Calvary.
“That I may KNOW HIM, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; IF by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.” (Phil. 3:10-11)
So, what Christ was telling these unbelieving Jews is that they had the Old Testament Scriptures, and they speak of the Deliverer who was to come and save them from their sins (Matt. 1:21) and how Christ is the theme of the whole OT. It is full of types and shadows of Christ. Only unbelief prevents anyone from seeing these truths.
All the Levitical types spoke of Christ. All the prophets gave witness to Christ. He was the One who rebuked the adversary in the days of Zechariah, the prophet. All through the Old Testament we have Jesus Christ preached in type, shadows, and in prophecy. “They are they which testify of me.” The Scripture tells of Jesus the Christ and authenticates the Scriptures. Prophecy after prophecy was fulfilled in Him.
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” (John 5:24)
True saving faith consists of an obedient faith; not a mere mental assent of the gospel which cannot regenerate those who are “dead in trespasses and in sins”, but a repentant faith which some of the deceived Corinthians eventually came into the blessings of through exercising “repentance to salvation” (2 Cor. 7:10).
Thus Christ made it very clear concerning all who will inherit everlasting life and be a part of the first resurrection to life, in verses 28-29;
“Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.”
“That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.” (John 3:6-7) ~Shared
𝐍𝐎 𝐑𝐄𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄 = 𝐍𝐎 𝐒𝐀𝐋𝐕𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍
There is no doubt that God has promised some things unconditionally in His Holy Word, but there are other things, such as those concerning salvation, where conditions must be met! Salvation is conditional!
There are two conditions that must be met when upon hearing the gospel of Christ and repentance and believing the gospel are the conditions that must be met in order to be saved.
There is a necessity to hear, see and understand (Mark 4:12). God looks upon the heart, and He knows those who are genuinely seeking Him with their whole heart! If repentance is a condition of salvation, it would mean that God requires one to repent in order to be saved from their sins, right? Paul preached God’s way of salvation in Acts 2:21;
“Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.”
So, the Bible does teach that repentance and faith are two components required in salvation! In fact, they cannot be separated! You cannot have one without the other! Consider how on the day of Pentecost, after Peter had preached the gospel and a number had been pricked in their hearts by the Holy Spirit of their sins because of the truths they had heard, which caused these individuals to ask what they need to know and what they needed to do to inherit salvation (Acts 2:37).
“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost” (Acts 2:38). The very first thing they were told to do in order to have remission of sins was to repent. In his next recorded sermon, Peter said, “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord” (Acts 3:19).
Once again, first repent and then their sins would be blotted out. There are many other passages pointing toward the necessity of repentance in order to experience salvation of God, but these should suffice to convince any honest enquirer on this matter. We must also bear in mind that the gospel preached at this particular time was “the gospel of the kingdom”, exclusively to the nation of Israel, in a prior dispensation. This is why baptism was also a condition of salvation. It was “baptism unto repentance.”
“These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:” (Matt. 10:5).
But God has not changed, as we read above in the apostle Paul’s preaching as we read in the Acts of the Apostles, God still desires repentance as well as faith in order to be saved! But what is repentance? Some have the false idea that the repentance that God requires is merely sorrow for our sins or past actions. Just sorrow doesn’t cut it! We can’t be sorry for what we have done but continue doing it! So even though sorrow may very well be a part of repentance, and then it is only a contributing factor, but it is not repentance itself.
The apostle Paul wrote to the Corinthians and expressed how they had been sorry for their past actions that he had reproved them for. In fact, he had experienced much heartache as he saw that those who continued to live in sin had not experienced the salvation from sin from God. Then Paul stated after hearing of the good news from Titus of the salvation of some of the carnal Corinthians;
“Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing. For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death”
(2 Cor. 7:9-10).
Their sorrow was instrumental in bringing about their repentance, which revealed in this verse that sorrow and repentance are not the same thing. The original Greek word that is translated “repent” is one that means to undergo a change of mind that is strong enough to change the practice of one’s life, not merely a change of mind which false professors of Christianity love to emphasize with no change in actions.
While Moses was on the mount receiving the law, the children of Israel made a golden calf and began worshipping it. Needless to say, God’s wrath was kindled against them, and He said that He was going to consume them (Exo. 32:1-10). Moses interceded for the people and the verse states, “And the Lord repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people” (Exo. 32:14). God had done no wrong to repent of, but it was a determination to change the planned action of God.
We also read in the parable of Christ and the two sons, which serve as a great illustration of what repentance really means. We read, “…A certain man had two sons; and he come to the first, and said, Son, go work today in my vineyard. He answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented, and went” (Matt. 21:28-29). See what true repentance consists of? In essence, repentance is a change of mind that results in a change of action. Otherwise, it is empty, devoid of any reality!
True repentance in salvation acts on this wise; Jesus Christ stated, “…If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him” (Luke 17:3). It is noteworthy that forgiveness is dependent upon repentance as well as faith, which is why we must repent if we expect to be forgiven of our past sins and enter into the salvation which God offers to all who will obey the call of the gospel.
And notice how Jesus Christ went on to say, “And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him” (Luke 17:4)? This is a command of God and if we love Him we will keep His commandments, no matter which dispensation we find ourselves living in!
God doesn’t change, He has always required repentance of sin in order to be made right with Himself! One has not truly repented if they have had no intention of changing the way they were living, of turning from their sins to God, which begins in the heart convicted of sin upon hearing the good news of salvation. God will not be mocked, He reads our hearts! He knows our true condition and He sees a truly searching soul.
Repentance is a turning around in mind that results in a turning around in life. Have we truly exercised “repentance to salvation” as some of those wicked Corinthians did? Or are we under a strong delusion, thinking we are right with God, when in fact we are still lost in trespasses and in sins?
If there is no change in our lives, then there is no true repentance in our hearts and thus there is no salvation. If one is not right in the sight of God, turning is obviously something that must be done, a change that has to be made. Repentance is a necessity, followed by faith in the work Jesus Christ has accomplished for sinners upon the cross of Calvary where He paid the price of our sins in His own blood.
Have you exercised true saving faith in the atoning work of Christ? Do you know what it means to be delivered from the hard shackles of your sins? Do you know what it is like to be delivered from the hard task master? Do you have peace with God? If not, do so today and be translated out of the kingdom of darkness and be translated into the kingdom of God where there is blessing, safety and security, indwelling of the Holy Spirit, forgiveness of sins and a sure Home in Heaven.
“Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:” (Col. 1:13)
“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and though shalt be saved” (Acts 16:31).

𝐎𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝐒𝐄𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐃 𝐀𝐋𝐖𝐀𝐘𝐒 𝐒𝐀𝐕𝐄𝐃!
There is so much false doctrine being spread on fb. But the saddest thing of all is that when wrong teachings are corrected, those pursuing them cannot hear. Only God is able to circumcise ears to hear in conversion. A fb friend quoted this passage from 2 Peter 2:20-22;
“For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.”
She insisted on this untruth;
“Don’t be deceived! “once saved, always saved” is a lie straight from the pits of hell! Yes, you CAN lose your salvation!” (End quote)
My reply;
“You ignore this fact in this same chapter in verse 9, as you wrest the Scriptures;
“The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:”
The main thrust of this chapter is concerning the warning of false professors who had entered the local churches; those not those born again of the Spirit of God, because those God saves He places in Christ and gives them a new “divine nature” which has new desires, as we read in 2 Peter 1:4;
“Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”
The persons referred to in 2 Peter chapter 2, are deluded souls. They had a knowledge of the gospel but they had never been saved and transformed by the gospel. Those God saves can never be the same again as their masters have changed, as we read in 2 Cor. 5:17;
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
Peter is still speaking of the false teachers in those verses you quote above, or of those whom they had enticed. There are many today also in Christendom who are in this same position, who possess a knowledge of the truth, but not a saving knowledge, but they deny the power thereof, as Paul wrote in his second letter to Timothy.
“FOR if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world…”
The conjunction “for” connects the clause closely with what is immediately preceding, and suggests that Peter is explaining the term “servants of corruption” which he applies to the false teachers in verse 19;
“While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.”
False doctrines had already began to make serious inroads into the churches scattered throughout the world when Peter wrote his epistle. Paul’s later letters also give evidence of this apostasy in the churches, as the epistle of Jude also bears witness.
Peter had this in mind when he gave his final message to the saints, but he foresaw an even greater apostasy in days to come, and so he gave an inspired word of warning in order that the believers might not be deceived by the personality and persuasiveness of false teachers masquerading as servants of Christ.
The wording and the warning of these false teachers are very similar in Jude’s epistle. But the Holy Spirit Himself inspired both of these writers to portray conditions which the Church of God would have to face in the years to come.
Peter emphasises the spread of unscriptural doctrines, whereas Jude dwells more particularly upon the effects of these, turning the grace of God into lasciviousness; thus they give a twofold warning designed to save the elect of God from being misled.
This is the whole thrust of the chapter as Peter introduces the subject in 2 Peter 2:1-2;
“But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.”
How do they deny the Lord? By their very lives as they have a form of godliness but deny the power thereof. There is power in the blood of the cross to overcome. The same resurrection power that raised up Christ from among the dead. While the propagators of unholy and unscriptural theories profess to have just the message that men need, they actually have nothing that can give victory over sin or relief to a troubled conscience.
There is no such a thing as being saved by divine grace and being lost again. But there are plenty who profess salvation but do not possess the Saviour. That is a different matter. What God does, He does well. He saves, He keeps, and He sanctifies true believers, as we read in Jude 1.
Peter made the believers inheritance very clear; those who are kept by the power of God, in 1 Peter 1:4-5;
“To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.” ~~Shared

If you don’t think he will mess with God’s word you’re deceived. This is why there is so much false Doctrine in the church. Especially the doctrine of divorce, due to adultery. Satan’s goal was to destroy the family unit and he did so by rewriting the Bible. Get rid of all modern translations and stick with the King James Bible.
Sanctification is a process…salvation is not.

SATAN IS THE AUTHOR OF CONFUSION

When God created the first man and the first woman (Adam & Eve), He said “…they shall be 𝐎𝐍𝐄 flesh.” (Gen. 2:24 KJV). Thus in God’s original design and before sin’s corruption, husband and wife were intended to be so closely connected that they were “𝐎𝐍𝐄” unit. Furthermore, the word used in Gen. 2:24 for “𝐎𝐍𝐄” is the same word used in Deuteronomy 6:4 KJV “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is 𝐎𝐍𝐄 LORD:” (Echad…𝐎𝐍𝐄, unit, or unity).

they shall be 𝐎𝐍𝐄 flesh
