Water Baptism, the final word

Water baptism

“Why Water Baptism is Not Required for Salvation”

2 Timothy 2:15 KJV Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Romans 10:2-3 KJV – 2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. 3 For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

Galatians 6:14 KJV But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.

Water Baptism is for the Christian today but it is not required for salvation. Several groups say that water baptism is required for salvation. They base this off of a few verses and a wrong interpretation of those verses. Most live on Acts 2:38 KJV
We will look at this verse first.
Acts 2:38 KJV
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Acts 2:41 KJV
Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
Peter’s audience “gladly received his word”—and by necessary inference believed in their hearts and put their trust in Jesus— before they were water baptized. Salvation thus comes at the point of receiving God’s word and taking it to heart.
